Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications at the moment are open and may shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must meet the subsequent requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a house using a combined gross family earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic cash flow would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not submit any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the correct Identity Document numbers, nsfas 2025 names, and surname, as reflected of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people here who are studying or intend to study in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
